自然の素材にこだわった製品を提案するコスメブランド「SHIRO」のショップデザイン。区画は新宿の商業施設の1階に位置し、施設のエントランスや上階への階段に隣接した人通りの多い賑やかな場所である。
ショップの中心には浮遊感のある大きな白いカウンターを柱を貫通しているかのように設け、伸びやかさと広がりを感じるデザインとした。またカウンターの先端の形状を半円とすることで人が自然と店内へと導かれる計画となっている。
壁面には、ほんのり赤みのあるさらりとした質感の左官材と、光沢感のあるピンクブロンズのステンレスを使用。色味を揃えつつも異なる質感の素材を組み合わせることで、自然素材を大切に扱うSHIROのぬくもりと、新宿らしいきらめきが混ざり合うイメージを空間で表現することを目指した。

Store design for the cosmetic brand SHIRO, which offers products made from natural ingredients. Located on the first floor of a retail complex in Shinjuku, the store is nestled in a highly trafficked area adjacent to the building’s main entrance and stairway to the upper floors.
A large white counter floats at the center of the store as if it penetrates a column, creating a sense of spaciousness. The semi-circular end of the counter naturally invites people into the store.
The walls are finished with reddish plaster with a smooth texture as well as stainless steel in glossy pink bronze color. These materials in the same color palette but of different textures are combined to express the warmth of SHIRO’s careful handling of natural materials and the sparkle of the city.
